Rockstar Games has not released anything officially titled GTA 6 Trailer 3. The third official video for Grand Theft Auto VI is called An Extended Look, which premiered on 27 August 2026. You can watch it on Netflix and YouTube.
The game itself is confirmed for release on 19 November 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has publicly stated there will be no further delay. Pre-orders are open now, and preloads begin on 12 November 2026.
Every GTA 6 video in order
Rockstar has released three official videos for GTA 6. The first two are traditional announcement trailers, while the third is a longer presentation of in-game footage.
All dates and lengths are confirmed by Rockstar. This is the complete list in the order they were published.
- Trailer 1: Released 4 December 2023. Length is 1 minute and 31 seconds.
- Trailer 2: Released 6 May 2025. Length is 2 minutes and 47 seconds.
- An Extended Look: Released 27 August 2026. This video was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. It is available on Netflix as well as YouTube.
The setting and protagonists
GTA 6 is set in the state of Leonida, which is home to Vice City. Rockstar describes the location as Vice City, USA and the darkest side of the sunniest place in America. The setting is widely reported as Rockstar's take on Florida.
You play as two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army, and now works for drug runners in the Leonida Keys. Lucia was taught to fight by her father, served time in Leonida Penitentiary, and her family came from Liberty City.
What you get when you pre-order
Standard Edition pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack. This pack contains the two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, the Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach, outfits for Jason and Lucia, and a tropical weapon pattern. Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026.
The Standard Edition price is $79.99. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and includes an exclusive collection of vehicles, weapons, and apparel. Pre-ordering digitally also gets you one free month of GTA+, which includes access to the GTA+ Games Library.
Preloads for GTA 6 start on 12 November 2026, one week before launch. Coverage suggests clearing around 250GB of storage space, though this is a recommendation from outlets and not an official Rockstar figure.
What Rockstar has not confirmed yet
Several details about GTA 6 remain unannounced. Rockstar has not detailed an online mode or its launch timing. No PC version or PC release date has been announced. Based on the history of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC version could arrive in 2027, but this is an estimate only.
Rockstar has not published an official map size, a vehicle list, a weapon list, or mission details. The voice cast has not been officially credited. Cheat codes for GTA 6 have not been announced, and any list online is invented.
The limited collector's box
A premium collectible set called Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection is available. Pre-orders for this limited set opened on 24 September 2026. It is inspired by the in-game TV show Macca the Gator.
Contents include a Macca the Gator figure, a New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, and various other themed items. Kotaku reports this collector's box costs $400 on Rockstar's store.
