GTA 6 Is Locked for 19 November. Take-Two Says You Will Not See a Third Delay

Updated 2026-10-13

GTA 6 releases on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick has publicly reaffirmed the date and said the game will not be delayed again.

How we got here

The date moved twice before it settled, which is why old articles still float around with wrong information.

  • Originally targeted for a fall 2025 window.
  • Delayed to 26 May 2026.
  • Delayed again to 19 November 2026, where it stands now.

What time does it unlock?

Rockstar has not announced a time of day, but the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store listings carry release timestamps, and they matched in every market we read on 13 October 2026.

They show midnight local time, one store region at a time. New Zealand goes first at midnight NZDT, then Australia at midnight AEDT, Europe at midnight CET and the UK at midnight GMT. The US and Canada each get one time for the whole country, midnight Eastern, which is 9pm Pacific on 18 November on the West Coast.

Insider Gaming has warned that store timestamps like these can be placeholders, so treat them as the best guide available until Rockstar confirms a time. The GTA 6 release time guide has the full table by time zone.

Our rule

These times come from the store listings, and we say so. A chart that claims Rockstar confirmed an unlock time is wrong, because Rockstar has not published one.

Platforms, plainly

  • PlayStation 5, confirmed.
  • Xbox Series X and Series S, confirmed.
  • PC, not at launch, no date announced.
  • PS4 and Xbox One, not happening.
