GTA 6 Costs £69.99 in the UK and A$129.95 in Australia. Check Your Store First

Updated 2026-10-15

GTA 6 costs £69.99 for the Standard Edition and £89.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the UK, the same on PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store. Australia pays A$129.95 and A$159.95, Canada CA$109.99 and CA$139.99, and the eurozone stores we checked charge €79.99 and €99.99.

We read every price directly from the official store listings on 13 October 2026. They line up with the US prices of $79.99 and $99.99 that Take-Two confirmed when pre-orders opened on 25 June.

GTA 6 price by country

Standard Edition first, then Ultimate Edition. Every price below comes from the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store shows the same figures in the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and the US, the Xbox markets we checked.

  • UK, £69.99 and £89.99.
  • Ireland, €79.99 and €99.99.
  • Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, €79.99 and €99.99.
  • Australia, A$129.95 and A$159.95.
  • New Zealand, NZ$139.95 and NZ$174.95.
  • Canada, CA$109.99 and CA$139.99.
  • US, $79.99 and $99.99.

Why the UK price looks lower than the US one

The Microsoft Store data shows the UK and German prices with VAT included and the Australian price with GST included, while the US and Canadian prices are shown before tax, which is added at checkout depending on where you live. That is why £69.99 can look cheap next to $79.99 and why a Canadian receipt ends up above CA$109.99.

The gap between the two editions follows the same logic everywhere. The Ultimate Edition costs £20 more in the UK, €20 more in the eurozone, A$30 more in Australia, NZ$35 more in New Zealand, CA$30 more in Canada and $20 more in the US.

Upgrading from Standard to Ultimate later

The Microsoft Store sells a separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade for people who buy the Standard Edition first. It costs $20 in the US, £20 in the UK, A$30 in Australia and CA$30 in Canada, which is exactly the gap between the two editions, so on Xbox buying Standard now and upgrading later costs nothing extra.

The PlayStation Store web listing shows the upgrade but no price for it yet, so PS5 owners cannot confirm the same deal until it goes on sale.

When you are charged and the bonus deadline

On Xbox, Microsoft charges a digital pre-order paid by card up to 10 days before the release date, which for GTA 6 means from about 9 November. If you pay from a Microsoft account balance, such as gift card money, the full price is taken as soon as you pre-order, so top up before you order rather than after.

Take-Two says every pre-order or purchase made before 20 November 2026 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, and the Xbox listing words it as buying before the end of 19 November. Buying on launch day still counts. The free GTA+ month is for digital pre-orders only.

Prices are also identical between the two consoles in every country where we checked both stores, so there is no saving from picking one store over the other at launch. Any difference you find will come from a retailer discount on the boxed version or a later sale.

What the extra £20 buys in the UK

For £20 more in the UK, or €20 in the eurozone, the Ultimate Edition adds items Rockstar names on its own site. They include the '95 Grotti Cheetah, the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers, Jason's Safehouse Vehicles and the Shitzu Squalo boat, plus shops that only open with this edition, such as Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo and One-Eyed Willie's.

Rockstar has not said whether any of these can be bought separately inside the game later. If they matter to you, the Xbox upgrade route means you can still add them after launch at the same total price.

What the price includes

The Standard Edition is the full game. The Ultimate Edition adds Rockstar's collection of premium vehicles, weapons, outfits and businesses threaded through the story, with new items unlocked chapter by chapter. The price and editions guide on this site lists the full contents.

Retailers set their own prices for the boxed version, which contains a download code rather than a disc. Store prices can also change during sales, so check the listing on the day you buy. If you want the limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers, Sony sells them separately at £74.99 in the UK and €84.99 in the eurozone.

Save on Ultimate

On Xbox, the Standard Edition plus the later upgrade costs the same as the Ultimate Edition today. If you are unsure about Ultimate, buy Standard and decide after you have played.
