GTA 6 Price and Editions: Which One Is Worth It
Paying the Ultimate premium for cosmetics you will replace in your first ten hours.
GTA 6 comes in two editions. Standard is $79.99 and Ultimate is $99.99.
Pre-orders opened in June 2026.
What Ultimate adds
Ultimate bundles premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and extra content. Rockstar has described these bonuses as threaded across the whole of Jason and Lucia's story rather than dumped on you at the start, with more turning up as chapters progress.
Pre-ordering either edition is reported to include a free month of GTA+, which carries an in-game cash bonus and access to the GTA+ Games Library.
Who should buy Ultimate
- You play one game for hundreds of hours and you want everything switched on.
- You care about cosmetic sets and you know you will use them.
- You were going to subscribe to GTA+ anyway.
Who should buy Standard
- You want the story and you are not chasing cosmetics.
- You are unsure whether you will still be playing in three months.
- You would rather keep the difference for whatever the online side asks for later.
Standard is the safer buy for most people. Bonus vehicles and clothing are the fastest thing in any GTA to become irrelevant once the real economy opens up. You can always spend more later. You cannot unspend.

Regional pricing varies and storefronts convert differently. Very high prices circulated earlier as leaks and were widely treated as placeholders rather than real.
