GTA 6 PC Requirements Are Still Unannounced in 2026. Check Before You Trust a Spec List
There are no official GTA 6 PC requirements because there is no PC version. Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 will launch on 19 November 2026 only for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Every list of GTA 6 minimum requirements or recommended specs you see online is invented. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date, a PC version, or any hardware specifications for PC.
The lack of a PC announcement follows Rockstar's history. GTA V launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, with the PC version arriving in April 2015, an 18-month gap. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2018, with its PC version following in November 2019, a 12-month gap. If GTA 6 follows a similar pattern, a PC version could land sometime in 2027. That is an estimate based on history, not a confirmation from Rockstar.
What the confirmed platforms and release details are
The only platforms with a confirmed date are consoles. GTA 6 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on 19 November 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick publicly reaffirmed this date and stated there will be no further delay. The official Rockstar site shows "Coming November 19, 2026" and markets the game with the line "Plays Best On PlayStation 5".
Pre-orders for these console versions opened on 25 June 2026. The standard edition costs $79.99, and the ultimate edition costs $99.99. Pre-loading for console begins on 12 November 2026, one week before launch. Rockstar has confirmed that boxed copies of these console versions contain a download code, and outlets report there will be no Blu-ray game disc at launch either.
Why you cannot find real GTA 6 specs or requirements
Since a PC version is not announced, no official GTA 6 PC requirements exist. Rockstar has not published any details like minimum RAM, required GPU, or necessary CPU. Similarly, the game's download size is not announced. While coverage has suggested clearing around 250GB of free space on console, this is a recommendation from outlets, not an official Rockstar figure.
Other technical details remain unconfirmed. The global launch unlock time is not announced. Rockstar's site still carries only a generic content warning, while the console store listings show ESRB M and PEGI 18. Rockstar has not detailed an online mode for GTA 6 or its launch timing, drawing only from series history where GTA Online launched two weeks after GTA V.
What a PC player can do right now
Without a PC version or specs, your options are limited to planning and playing other titles. You can follow the official Rockstar channels for any future PC announcements. You can also explore the history of Rockstar's PC releases to set realistic expectations.
If you want to experience the world of GTA 6 sooner, the only path is on console. The game features two playable protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, in the state of Leonida, home to Vice City. The setting is reported to be based on Florida. The story involves supporting characters like the bank robber Raul Bautista and the drug runner Brian Heder.
Any website listing GTA 6 PC requirements is publishing fake information. Rockstar has announced GTA 6 only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a release date of 19 November 2026. A PC version and its specs remain unconfirmed, with a potential 2027 release being a historical estimate only.
